Welcome back to HCA!
In order to account for adequate distancing at the clinic, we will be seeing fewer patients per hour and have much less flexibility than we prefer to have. Please bear with us as we adjust to this new normal; it isn’t how we ever expected to run our clinic but we feel confident that we can continue to provide you with comfortable, loving, high-quality, and affordable care.
What we're doing to keep everyone safe:
In order to keep our community setting as safe as possible, we will be limiting access to the clinic. We will not be taking walk-ins; only people with appointments may come in.
When you arrive for your appointment, please wait at the door, as it will be locked; the acupuncturist will come let you in as soon as possible. Therefore, we ask that you wait outside or in your car until your appointment time if you arrive early.
Please be aware, we will not be providing blankets at this time, as they are difficult to properly sanitize. We will have space blankets for sale ($6) in the event you’d like to have your own to bring to the clinic. Unfortunately, given our limited space, we will need to limit treatment times to 45 minutes.
We’ve always had a HEPA air purifier in the treatment room but we’ve added a few more for further safety. Our tables and face rests will now have vinyl covers, which will be sanitized between patients; same with our vinyl-covered medical recliners and other high-touch surfaces.
All of our acupuncturists are fully vaccinated & boosted.
What *you* can do:
Arrive on time, and please use the available hand sanitizer before entering the treatment room. You may also stop by the bathroom to wash your hands. Please remember to leave family members and friends at home, as we can no longer accommodate people in our waiting room.
UPDATE: Starting Wednesday 5/31/23, masks will no longer be required for treatment at HCA**. We encourage everyone to remain masked to protect those more vulnerable in our community, but will no longer be requiring mask wearing for patients or practitioners. For your comfort, all our practitioners will happily don a mask while chatting and needling you, if they’re not already. Please don’t hesitate to ask!
As such, we ask that you remain especially vigilant about cancelling if you or anyone in your household feels ill, regardless if you/they have tested negative for COVID. We understand this is frustrating for a cold, but we want to protect our vulnerable patient base as we transition to less masking.
**NOTE: Randi’s shifts will remain MASK REQUIRED for the time being. If you prefer not to mask, please schedule with a different practitioner.
If you have been exposed to or tested positive (or have had upper respiratory symptoms) for COVID 19, please contact our office about when to schedule your next appointment.
Do your best to optimize your immunity! Getting vaccinated and boostered, wearing a mask in crowded places, staying home when feeling ill, washing your hands regularly, eating your favorite healthy foods, drinking lots of water, getting rest, and enjoying time outdoors are all great ways to optimize your immunity!
