Randi Helfand, L.Ac.
Randi Helfand is a New Jersey native who moved to Pennsylvania in 2000, and has happily called the Main Line home for the last couple years. Randi has a Bachelor’s from Franklin & Marshall College, a Master’s in Education from Widener University, and a Master’s in Acupuncture from The Won Institute of Graduate Studies.
She is licensed to practice Acupuncture in the state of Pennsylvania and is a NCCAOM board certified Diplomate. Randi’s favorite thing about acupuncture is the way it can help people recover from physical pain, but also from life pain! Foundational to her practice is the belief that acupuncture can help people make all kinds of transitions in their lives, from the more physical to the mental and psycho-spiritual. Randi loves community acupuncture’s ability to allow for partnership in the healing of self and others.
Randi has worked at Havertown Community Acupuncture since graduation from acupuncture school in 2015, and is excited and proud to have taken over clinic ownership in 2021. When not in the clinic, Randi’s interests include reading, hiking, cooking, eating, and snuggling with her husband and three kitties.
Jamie Scott, L.OM.
Jamie Scott is an Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with 13 years of experience specializing in acute and chronic pain, fertility and women’s health. She attended AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas and received a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In addition to clinic rotations in physical therapy and community health settings at AOMA, Jamie completed acupuncture and herbal clinical observation at the Chengdu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China.
Originally from Illinois, Jamie attended Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, beginning her studies in physical therapy before graduating magna cum laude in English literature. Jamie’s interest in affordable holistic healthcare led her to attend acupuncture school upon moving to Austin, Texas.
Her mission is to provide relief and improved quality of life to those suffering from pain and to provide fertility and pregnancy support to those looking to expand their families. She also seeks to provide safe and competent care to LGBTQ individuals.
Jamie is board certified by NCCAOM and is licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Jeff Hauser, L.Ac.
Jeff is a calm, gentle acupuncturist that has been practicing his craft for over a decade before ending up in the Philadelphia area. He grew up in the Southwest and has lived in many parts of the U.S., including Austin, Texas where he graduated from AOMA-Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree. He is board certified in Acupuncture by the NCCAOM, licensed by the PA Board of Medicine, and specializes in pain and stress reduction. Jeff is adept at treating the whole person, whether it is focusing on digestive problems, headaches, sleep issues, range of motion concerns or most anything else.
Jeff is also handy with other crafts and spends some of his time building and fixing things. He loves visiting the beaches in New Jersey and getting out in nature in general.
Melinda Schwartz, L.Ac.
Melinda Schwartz grew up in New Jersey and attended Penn State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource Management. Following college, she worked in the environmental remediation field conducting cleanups of chemical spills. As the stress level of her career grew, she began utilizing acupuncture as a way to help deal with physical and emotional ailments that were being caused by her stress. During this time, she fell in love with the medicine and realized that she wanted to learn more about it and help to heal others in the same ways she had been healed.
After 20+ years in the corporate world, she attended the Won Institute of Graduate Studies and obtained her Masters of Acupuncture. Now as a licensed acupuncturist, Melinda strives to bring the beautiful hope and healing that acupuncture can provide to her patients. She truly enjoys the connection she makes with her patients and loves to provide support for all aspects of health.
When not treating in the clinic Melinda enjoys hiking, making pottery, going to the beach, and most of all, spending time with her family.
